Hot Damn,....I'm back in! Well my pretties....been 4 years since I've been locked out of H.D. central. Where to begin...
Howlin' Dogma LIVES!!!
I played a gig with my 'ol buddy Freddy Fossil last year in Feb. I sat in with his classic rock band, and afterwards we decided it would be good to put a little jam together on a regular basis. Something to keep the chops up, and all that. We called Mardel, and made some noise, just the three of us. The next week we called up one of the old Bass players we used to work with,...playin old stuff, but having fun. A couple weeks later, right smack out-O-the blue our buddy Armand calls me and says he be up for playing Guitar if I was ever going to put anything together again,....Well, just so happens.....
That was March '11. Around August the bass player has other things to do, so Armand starts playing Bass, Mardel's playing Guitars, and singing a little, 'course Freddy Fossil's playing Drums, and he's singing a little too, with me on Vocals, and Harmonicas.
Yeah Buddy! Howlin' Dogma Lives!
So, we played our first gig in Oct. last year. Played a couple more, at the end of the year, had a great house party gig New Years Eve. What a treat to be playing with this bunch-O-loonies.
Stay tuned, LOTS more to come,...like a major re-vamping of this site.
THANKS JOE!
Rev.Walter.........

Howlin' Dogma came together in 2001.
Roots Rock, and Blues, from the high desert of the Owens Valley/Mammoth Lakes region of California's Eastern High Sierra's.
This isn't your typical "Retro" type blues band. You won't find Fedora's, Zoot suits, or two-toned shoes here.
We're not trying to recreate anything. we picked it up where we found it, and are trying to take it with us where were going.
This is much more like the Rockin' Blues of the 1970's.
Blues with a little harder edge.
This is the kind of music you find in the roadhouses, and neighborhood bars.
The kind you ride your Harley out to see. The kind you go out to drink, dance, and sometimes fight to!
Music of the people, by the people, and for the people.------------american Music !
Rocky, who wrote most of the music for the CD. Along with Walter's lyrics of love, hate, happiness, bad dope, and televangelist scams make up the 11 original songs, on our CD "all mine".
The lineup on the "All mine" CD is;
Walter Herleman; Vocals, Harp
Rocky Scholl; Guitars
Don Bacoch; Bass
Neil Gelvin; Tenor Sax, Rhythm Guitar
Mary Tannheimer; Drums
Just click on the "Merchandise" link to the left to hear samples (30 second) from the CD "All Mine". Or go to the "links" page, and click on the "CD Baby" link to hear 2 minute samples of the songs.
DJ's? Karaoke??, why listen to that CRAP! if we all quit supporting them,...they WILL go away! Tell the owner/booker of you favorite club you want REAL Music.
